Wise words by Ben Franklin to be sure.  If you've ever bought something of low quality, then you know exactly what old Ben was talking about. Don't make that mistake again. Buy something of quality and you will only have to buy it once. That's what I make. Some of it is large, some of it is small. All of it is well built and something that you won't need to replace for a very long time.

Here's a picture of one of my very first projects. This table sits between my wife's chair and mine and gets used every single day. It holds coffee, tea, water, the popcorn bowl, whatever we happen to be reading at the time, the mail, and just about every thing else.

Mind you, this picture wasn't taken right after I built it. No, by the time I got around to taking this picture, the table was already over a decade old. With over a decade of daily use it still doesn't have a squeak. It doesn't have a loose joint. It has never needed repaired. Thus we have the corollary to Ben's saying. When you buy something of high quality, the price gets lower every day.
