This is the classic game of tic tac toe with marbles! The black marbles are called pirate and have a matte finish which gives it an almost rubbery feel. The white marbles are called unicorn. The board itself is made of pine. The lines are carved into the front and then painted black. The marbles store on the inside and are covered with a piece of leather with snaps on either end. A great travel game that stays self contained. Storing the marbles inside makes them easy to keep track of.

As you can see from the pictures, pine can come in a variety of shades. I don't use any sort of stains or dyes to even the color out. That's just the beauty of working with natural materials. While we are on the subject, the leather used on the top will vary a bit from board to board as well. And if you look closely at the pictures, you will see two different leathers used on all of the games shown. This game uses 5/8" diameter target marbles.
